About
First Contact Day. Frontier Day. Captain Picard Day. Over the years, we've celebrated events and individuals who have helped shape and guide the growth of the United Federation of Planets. Now comes a new day recognizing the life, service, and accomplishments of one of the Federation's greatest heroes - Captain Benjamin Sisko. The Sisko Day celebrates a father, The Emmissary to the Prophets, a leader, and friend.
Why May 22nd? This date correlates to Stardate 46388.2, the date that then Commander Benjamin Sisko first took command of station Deep Space Nine. This date would mark the beginning of a journey that would change the course of history for not only the Federation, but for all in the Alpha and Gamma Quadrants.

Established by The 7th Rule,, May 22nd is officially The Sisko Day to honor Captain Benjamin Sisko of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Avery Brooks who masterfully brought the character to life and into our hearts. Watch the announcement!
